How to setup Replenishments

The Replenishment feature is a powerful tool whereby you can send automated prompts for customers to re-order the same product. Using the Blueprint Wizard, you can see the average re-order gaps and set the timeframes to trigger messages to send at the most optimal times post order. By accurately predicting when a customer will need to replenish, the resultant conversion rate for re-ordering will be increased.

How to Setup (Method 1)

There are two ways to set up Replenishments. The first would be through the main page:

  1. Navigate to Replenishment
  2. Select 'Add rule'
  3. Add a 'Replenishment name' (e.g the name of the product and variant for this replenishment)
  4. In the section 'When someone buys any of' select the 'add' button

  5. A list of all products listed in your Shopify store will appear. It will show the item with thumbnail image, the amount in stock and the listed price of that product. Select the product(s) you'd like to create for this replenishment. You can add multiple products and variants to your list meaning that if a customer purchases one or more of these products, it will automatically trigger the upsell replenishment.

  6. Set the time you'd like this message to be triggered. If needed, select the 'custom' option to manually add in the correct number of days post order that you'd like this message to be sent.

  7. The final step is editing the ‘Replenishment message’’ to your desired response. As with all automated messages we suggest you customise with your brand tone of voice. The dynamic brackets which can be used are {first_name}, {brand_name} and {replenishment_products}. The {link_to_checkout} will be replaced with one click checkout link for each customer message based on the Upsell products you’ve added. Once happy with the message, click ‘save’ to create the new replenishment group.

How to Setup (Method 2)

You can also setup replenishments using the Replenishment Wizard. This will show a list of your Shopify products and contain important information, in particular the Average Reorder Gap between purchases.

  1. Navigate to Replenishment
  2. In the 'Commonly replenished products' box, select 'view products'

  3. This will open up the Replenishments Wizard displaying the products that are most commonly re-ordered. It will show:

    - The product name and variant.
    - The total purchases of that product.
    - The total repeat purchases of that product.
    - The rate of repurchase (how many of the total purchases are reorders).
    - The Average Reorder gap (the average time between one order and the repeat order).

  4. Select the product variant you'd like to create a replenishment for and select 'Create rule'.

  5. It will then take you to the replenishment creation page. You will see that the product has already been loaded as well as the 'Send replenishment message after' timeframe set to the time of the average reorder gap. Make sure to set the Replenishment name and edit the replenishment message accordingly.

      Notes

      • When setting replenishments, they will automatically send each time a customer repurchases the same product.

      • Replenishments send independently from Cross-sells. E.g if a replenishment of Chocolate Protein is set to 24 days and a cross-sell of Protein Chocolate is also set at 36 days, both messages will be sent.
      • If a customer purchases a product before they are due to receive a replenishment or cross-sell message, the scheduled messages will not be sent.
      • Both replenishment and cross-sells send separately and will both send if triggered from a single purchase.
      • The automations will run again based on every purchase. Each purchase will trigger the relevant replenishment campaigns and they can be sent multiple times.
      • Replenishment messages will be sent on the timeframes set. The wizard will make suggestions based on the history of all purchases of that product not an individual customer's orders.
      • There needs to be a minimum 10 purchases to display.
      • There needs to be a minimum repurchase rate 25% to display.
